Urban Tailz loves our One Tail at a Time pups!

Urban Tailz is proud to offer all of our One Tail at a Time rescues a $2 discount per walk for our regular 30-min and 50-min dog walks, and a $1 discount per walk for our 20-min puppy walks.

Urban Tailz is one of the oldest and most well-known pet sitting companies in Chicago. We have learned a lot in our 20 years of business, and we continually work to improve our pet care services to best meet the needs of our customers. Our dog walkers are employees who have been background checked and have gone through a week-long training course before providing pet care services on their own. Urban Tailz is also licensed, bonded, and insured to provide pet sitting services in Chicago.

Urban Tailz provides frequency discounts for all our midday dog walking clients. We offer $1 off each walk when scheduling 3+ walks per week and $2 off each walk when scheduling 4+ walks per week for our 30-min and 50-min visits. We offer $1 off each 20-min puppy walk when scheduling 6+ walks per week. These discounts are automatically adjusted on your monthly invoice.

Will I always have the same walker?

Yes. We believe consistency is important and want our walkers to build a relationship with their pets and clients. You will always have the same walker unless your walker needs a day off. We send messages letting you know your walker has a day off so there are never any surprises.

Will my dog(s) be walked with other dogs?

We want your pet’s time to be special so we will only walk your pet during their visit. We will never walk multiple client’s pets unless neighboring clients ask that their pets be walked together.

What if my dog is afraid of strangers?

Urban Tailz is a Fear Free Certified Professional Organization. We understand how to alleviate our pet’s fears, anxieties, and stresses. We also provide the same midday dog walker so your pet can build a bond with their walker. We like to have a manager do the first few visits before introducing your regular walker so we always have a solid backup if your walker ever needs a day off.

How will I know my dog has been walked?

Urban Tailz uses Time to Pet software with complete GPS tracking. You receive a detailed visit report the moment the walk has been completed with fun pics and notes on how the walk went. You can also see the route your pet and their walker took on the walk.

Urban Tailz clients are able to schedule regular midday walks up to 9am the day of at no extra charge. There is a small $3 charge when scheduling after 9am. We also allow cancellations up to 2 hrs before the start of your time window at no charge. There is a 50% charge if cancelling within 2 hours before the start of your time window.

*Our main dog walking hours are Monday through Friday 10am t0 4pm. Anything outside of this timeframe is considered off-peak.

**Major holidays include Easter, Memorial Day Weekend (Sat-Mon), 4th of July Holiday, Labor Day Weekend (Sat-Mon), Wednesday through Saturday of Thanksgiving week, December 23-26, and December 30 to January 1.
